First pair broke after about 2 years' use which is just fine. They have been perfect for my use: great sound, reasonable comfort (my rt ear is atypical so the rt piece is ever so slightly too large), stay on the ears very well, inexpensive. I wear them hours a day and on long runs of over 4 hours. Have tried other headphones but - so far - these are the best for me. Cord is perfect length for me. When I run, to avoid noise from bouncing cords, I loop the long cord around my neck and hold the mp3 in my hand (encased in a cheap, tiny, plastic ziploc-type thing I got from a fabric store at Ridgedale). Almost a perfect product for my use.

Ears hurt after 45 minutes

I bought these to replace my old set of Sony over the ear headphones that stopped working. The first time I wore these my ears were hurting after only 45 minutes. I think I have pretty average sized ears, but still these seemed too big and are in no way adjustable. I'm off to the store today to find another new pair.

Philips has a known problem with these headphones which they deny, but before you buy you might want to read the link below. These are not the most comfortable headphones to begin with and the added constant shocking of my right ear makes them even worse. The left earphone is fine. I have to take out the right earphone due to the constant shocking. According to Philips this is your body naturally discharging electricity. Why only my right ear I do not know. I have owned several pairs of earphones and none have shocked me like these. I would highly recommend you look at other options. I gave them a one star rating because a zero stars was not an option.

I owned a pair of these headphones and they lasted trough 2 mp3 players (almost 3 years). I wear them while running, with everything that encompases (cable yanking, sweat, shock).
After they finally gave up I "upgraded" to a pair of nike Flight that cost almost twice as much. Boy, I was wrong.
The nike set didn't make it to its 3rd month.
I replaced them with a new set of Phillips and they work great.
I have never had a problem with fit (and I don't have Dumbo ears). Sound quality is even superior than Nike's (hint, nike headphones are made by phillips, so why pay more) since fit is better.
Given the use and wear I subject these headphones, it would be extremely hard to find a serious competitor.
I fully reccomend this product to anyone who wants a decent sound headphone set for a bargain price.

I bought these headphones because they were relatively cheap and I really like the wrap around style. It took me a while to get them placed in my ears the first time and then when they were in, they hurt!! The bud is too large for my outer ear and they simply hurt. I'm returning them immediately.

I first purchased these headphones as a replacement for the chea pair that came with my old mp3 player. they were good for that use. the sound quality wasn't bad either. I ended up with a noise canceling pair that I now use for my mp3 player so i brought these to work.
The first problem was the cord length. It didn't reach from the sound port on my computer to my head.
The rubberized design implies that it has a certain level of durability, but after the shortest of times and one drag across my desk and the rubber part around the actual speaker part came off. from there, they fall apart rather easily.
I do not recommend these and have had better success with the cheaper sony ear clips

I bought this last week and have tried using them for the past 4 workouts. They do not fit well at all, I had to readjust every few minutes while running. the sound was great but for the purpose of working out the fit is terrible which affected my workout. Unfortunately I threw out the packaging so I will probably give them to kids for their video games and purchase another pair of headphones for myself.

I bought my first pair of these at least 2 years ago. They have been great. I use them for running and to wear during yard work. I let one of my kids borrow the first pair and they were returned in pieces. I bought another pair and they have been great, but I stretched the cord too far recently and have caused a short. I just ordered my third pair.
They fit me well. You need to get them set into your ears -- the first time might take a little more time to get used to, but one you get the hang of it, they won't move and they won't hurt (not me, at least).
